blingo concerns, and a suggestion about the happy birthday feature

Hi. I play blingo regularly when I can find time to go on the zone, as it's right up my alley in terms of word games, and it is more edifficult to cheat at it. I say more difficult, but not impossible. I just guessed a word in 3 guesses and 25 seconds, but I did not get my 20 points because someone else had guessed it in 2 guesses and 423 seconds. I would like it so that the average time per guess is calculated, and if your average time per guess was, for example, two thirds as much (or less) of the previous fastest time, you should be recorded as having the fastest time for that word no matter how many guesses you used. I usually play blingo alone without the aid of a word construction utility, and I find it difficult to concentrate on a word for more than about 2 minutes continuously. Therefore, I cannot believe that someone could have guessed a word in 2 guesses and 423 seconds without help.

On a brighter note (or what is hopefully a brighter note for everyone), I think it would be good if the happy birthday feature was extended so you could find out all the people who were born on a particular day, day and month, month, or year. I know that many people don't fill in the box for their birthday, but it would be interesting for me to find out who has their birthday around mine, and not have to wait until the day before to find out.

Regards,
Graham Pearce

I can understand your concern since I myself have felt the same frustration at blingo a time or 2. As far as guessing a word in 423 seconds goes? Well, perhaps the person either was answering a lot of quicknotes and had all but one letter of a word that they weren't familiar with. So, not only would the person have to try all the verious comboniations, also responding to quicknotes could have slowed them down. An extremely rare situation yes, but that is also an extremely rare occurrence. I do like the idea of some compensation based on time and the number of guesses though.
